Starting from March 15th, the first itinerant residency ESPORA will have place in Tlacotalpan, Mexico. Hosted by Luz de Noche cultural center, this event aims to bring together several artists to work with the community, mixing topics like ecology and art.
The participants share a common background in the school of Fine Arts in Xalapa and will combine different disciplines like sculpture, land art or photography in an open collaboration with the space and the local people.
The selected artists are: Ivonne Reyes, Luis Eduardo Rea, Prisciliano Jiménez, Xicoténcatl Rivero, Christophe Aslanian, Mario Cruz, Aram Huerta and Carlos Carmonamedina.
The residency was organized in partnership with Luz de Noche cultural center, Tlacotalpan City Hall and PERIFÉRNE CENTRÁ.
